A letter to start off the New Year (IEcM)

Hi Bharat,

 

As per my text message today, I would like to propose during the next saturday meeting a more structured and regular communication system be set up through which both the committee members, exco and our affiliated networks can have a closer working relationship.

 

At the moment, the whatsapp as a social media has provided us with a simple and easy access to the members attention and we to all their activities.  Our connection via the whatsapp have certainly been doing very remarkable contributions of late.

 

To further expand these activities and fellowships and in keeping with your wish to have more solidarity and communication amongst the exco (and members); the IEcM brand and communication with the outside world needs more attention and planning.

My believe is that a better informed and updated social interaction platform between IEcM with the business world would be useful to all our benefit. A quick look on the internet on how other business chambers overseas does their planing would provide the necessary ideas for us to copy.

I look forward for this to be set up and look forward to receiving your personal input towards us achieving this line of  interaction  .

 

My suggestions to help start the ball rolling includes us having discussions on:

 

1. Highlighting and maintaining our recent achievements. An official database to be set up.

2. Discussions on Up & coming 2015 activities

3. Required changes to Staffing and timeline as to when we can achieve them, 

4. Office and Building maintenance costs required,up keeping or expansion (advertising,promotion,etc) that need our deliberation

5. Any other areas where the Committee may be able to pinpoint attention needed.

I also understand we have a large pool of business owners who are experts in various professions and this is the time we need their expertise and support.      I've also received a quick feed back from past committees that our Mission and Vision Statement needs to be prepared and provided to all new exco members for their benefit in learning our corporate culture.     Photo stated Copies prepared for distribution during Saturday's meeting would be welcomed.     This being our first exco meeting it is suggested that we re-visit and follow up the various Priorities the we set up during the last few meetings in 2014.    Mr. Krishnan should by now have copies of all our Mission /Vision statements and other priorities  .
