This piece is written in the tail end of the year.....And so it is that we now look back into 2019 and ask ourselves: Good God,man...how did it fly past us so fast?
Indeed, i remember going to sleep last night thinking i should re cap the positives that happened to me personally this year and thinking about it, I must admit its been a wild ride this year!
Many accomplishments have happened but the best must be that mummy's health has consistently been good the entire year, that she happily celebrated her 80th in the arms of family, kith and kin in better than average situation.
My wife was given a clean bill of health also by the doctors through a gamut of tests taken just a couple of days ago and I myself feel on top of the world as far as health is concerned. I figured out what was wrong with my general feeling of malaise these past few years and believe you me, once you sangibion, you never feel down again! THAT, and the occasional ural does wonders for the heart and body's gout and fluid movement.
Financially, its been a very good year as well with the planning of previous terms bearing its fruit this year bountifully and results include much travel overseas, more freed up cash flow and the children succesfully buying me and my wife a 6 bedroom semi d in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
All in all, a very good year indeed.
Now, for some grouses.........It is fully acknowledged that " Rome was not built in day." Neither does a well founded plan bear fruit within 1 or 2 years.
And it all starts with intent .........and consistently sacrificing for the good of the many.
To my kids, it they ever read these words of mine.........You guys know my plans and desires for all of you. I wish you all the best in following the plan.
Remember, a home may take 20 years to build; but it needs only one bomb to destroy it within seconds! We must face the hard truth that united the family stands; divided, it falls.
I have told all you kids , you must never, ever, allow fear, envy and jealousy /greed and lust for power / control to destroy the unity and relationship within the family.
History has shown very clearly that no family will last long when acrimony creeps into it. To stop that, we ( each one of us) must always be tuned to the BIG PICTURE of where we want the family unit and its members to be a decade from now.
Success must never be measured in how well we live BUT how well the next generation lives.
It can be done.
It wont be easy and there will be hiccups along the way......but it can be done.
