The seasonal rain and cold weather front which started in Melaka a while back has claimed another victim in me as I found myself with not just Flu but also Fever and a form of bad hacking cough that causes a lot of flam in my chest due to the cold weather.
Deepavali week recently ended with me still in a bad bout of hacking cough which luckily subsided once I consumed a chinese oral tablet bought by my son Chandra who was concerned with my hacking unending cough. Though the fever and Flu is persisting, I'm sure my own anti body strength should be able to help me pass this stage soon.
In this, the ending period of the year, it sure is bothersome being down with this miserable fever, flu and cough because there is an unending array of events, invites and occasions being planned in and around this City, which I have to sadly miss due to my situation. One silver lining that has managed to squeeze itself into this bad situation is the fact that I've managed to lose another 3.5 kilos of my earlier post Hari Raya / Deepavali food binge. Hooray !

On a further happier note, my sisters from Ipoh and KL came visiting for the week with their kids and husbands in tow to spend time with mummy and me here in Melaka. And so it was that the rest and relaxation that I was supposed to give myself was kept for another time as the mornings, afternoons and evenings were spent with my sisters, nephews and nieces visiting the many places of interest down here.
Sad to note is also the fact that Nicole my granddaughter is not well due to extreme diarrhea and has been warded in Mahkota Hospital the past 2 days though she looks more lively than most of us with all the extra attention and care the father, mother and our extended two families is showering on her .
The weekend also saw Michelle's cousin Reuben getting married to his sweetheart Lin who he's been courting the past 8 years. Mala & Malini, Datin Sandra & Dora accompanied Michelle and I to the bachelor's party in Pantai Puteri on Friday evening which was duly followed by a Wedding Tea Ceremony the next Morning where the newly weds gave us an opportunity to bless them in their future life together in their house in front of Family and Friends.
