The evenings in Melaka City are enjoyable when you are in the right company,ya? Last week, we got together with some like minded friends to partake in the offer of a hosted buffet dinner and drinks party at the local SMR Club. Many of the attendees were in fact quite jovial although many were not seeing Lady Luck yet. Probably because the ladies of the Club were busy entertaining them all ! Although I've got crappy luck where gambling is concerned but when I invest in some one it almost always pays out well !



Tallied and counted  the nett gains were preety impressive for us common folks !

One must remember that companies like Berjaya is able to sustain it's profitable corporate margins because no matter how  lucky or clever an individual thinks or sets up a system to beat the odds, the House always wins.


In gambling,the odds are always with the proprietor. But,the idea of going there is catching on and the promotions are value for money because for the price of a Dinner out with friends and family,one gets the added entertainment of the club hostesses, seafood buffets, hosted  alcoholic drinks and the posh surroundings are amiable to bring company to. 

We also met some who were not so lucky that night but they seem to enjoy the losses that they were evidently sustaining so in perspective one supposes not everything would be about winning, don't you think ?

There was a time not very long ago that people only ate out in the restaurants and hotels enclosed but nowdays the city is beautifully lighted up and you can see the populace coming out at the evening and nights to patronise the eateries and cafes and fast food joints ,even way out here in Ayer Keroh and Bukit Beruang

The night was followed swiftly with a visit to a few drinking holes familiar to us whenever the urge comes when in Melaka Raya and today, I was in a good mood. Despite being a small town, you'll be surprised just how much the action heats up at night in certain spots around the city. Places I would recommend include the likes of The Cube;  Pure Bar, The Jetty; Sunshine Bar in Melaka Raya & Hawk’s Place; Geographer in Jonker Street.

The good thing about Malacca is that it is studded with watering holes so you can choose to enjoy your drinks indoors or sip your drinks on the outside boardwalk. Belt out cheesy tunes at GoGo KTV till 2 a.m. or spend the night listening to the thumping good hip hop beats spun by DJ Tokyo at Pure Bar and dance the night away at The Cube. It goes without saying that Malacca nightlife allows plenty of scope for visitors to join the party despite being a small town.

I suppose familiarity breeds contempt because after so many years of taking the same route home, i never realised or even once stopped to admire the beautiful landscapes in and around the town and surrounding housing estates.This city truly is a lighted beauty at night. There was a time not very long ago that people only ate out in the restaurants and hotels enclosed but nowdays the city is beautifully lighted up and you can see the populace coming out at the evening and nights to patronise the eateries and cafes and fast food joints ,even way out here in Ayer Keroh and Bukit Beruang. The recent mushrooming cafe revival is also feeding the people with more decent entertainment for family dinners and friends to lepak place.

Even the roads off the main highways are incandescent with the glow of the warm yellow lights that throw shadows away and give a glow of warmth and safety.All around the main roads leading in and out of Malacca City the fairy tale lights and romantic atmosphere is evident !
