This morning the birds & insects were out in good spirits as the sky was blue, the winds warm & caressing; and the weather bright and fine with nary a dark cloud in sight.

Continuing from where I previously left off, the impact of the past few days was wearing
me roughshod, and so I wanted to put off entertaining any trying work routines for the next day or two.

I lazed through Friday and on Saturday, the Little Lady of the House saw that i was actually enjoying myself confined to the TV and Bed & decided, rather absent mindedly, that the Family needed a short trip for some bonding and groceries.

And so it was, that a couple of hours after day break, that i found myself navigating the highways and by ways of Malaysia, headed to Berjaya Times Square for some hard earned retail therapy.

The traffic was surprisingly good and we reached in good stead just a couple of minutes before high noon.

The problems other people have with retail therapy not withstanding, we made good of our trip and excursion to the shopping centre and had a nice meal at the local pizza joint. They have a nice promotion of a 22'' pizza with a fruit juice of choice. The black pepper chicken my daughter ordered was filling and the meal portions acceptable. The ambience was normal.

While going through the Lunch and later the other shops retail offerings, a phone call was received from my fellow councillor -Francis.

"Would I like to join him tomorrow (Sun) for Lunch in Muar and Dinner in Segamat ?"

"OK, sure. Call you once I get home".

A quick browse through Borders and some of the higher floors and it was suddenly 4pm.

As the Little lady had a 6.45pm meeting appointment with her Rotarian Group in Melaka, off we scooted back to town, unnoticed and uninterupted.

*Sunday morning.

Got up early at 4.00am and potted around the garden in the darkness, for want of something better to do, cleared out some junk from the house, and around 7.00am hit the bed again for some warmth and sunday booty.

Around 10.00 called my friend and enquired on the itinerary for the day. Found out that his company was doing the annual CNY "belanja" for his customers and supporter's in the satelite towns of muar and segamat. We'll only be expected back around midnight or later, as they don't expect to drink & drive all the way from Melaka immediately after dinner.

Knowing his excellent taste in food / drinks selections; i supposed the day would not end that badly !
