On Monday last, after getting up at 11.00am and later lazing around on the computer, at around 3pm, one of the clients for whom I've been consulting and managing the administration for these past few years invited me to a pow-wow whereby all by-gone ill feelings due to certain extraporeneous circumstances recently were trashed out and the seal of comradeship was tightened again.
(What happened was that they encountered a problem when certain parties to their property decided to play rough and brought in ruffians to escort the manager out of their office. these people due to either lack of coordinated efforts and will succumbed to the physological warfare initiated by the other parties and left the manager high and dry -unprotected. In disgust, the manager from then on decided to allow them to deal with the issue as they saw fit without any advice or help from him).
Unfortunately, within the month, things began to unravel apart and the clients were forced to call a "parley".
It was a long 4 hour meet though, and so,we adjourned across to the Station 1 cafe in Melaka Raya to appease our famished stomachs.

Apparently they have a good array of Westen & Eastern dishes which we were more than pleased to sample. Most of us finally agreed on the Grill & Chops.
It was a Good Choice. So, long story short......... by 8.00pm with dinner in the tummy and agreeable thoughts of the night floating by,the days work was established & done and plans for the coming week quickly established for the relief and ease of mind of the Clients.

On Tuesday, I got up at 6.30am and sent the second son off to school, as the mother was sent to the Bangladeshi Embassy to assist one of her expat staffs who recently lost their passport to report and make a new one at the Embassy.
Can you believe, the guy lost it because he placed the passport on top of the Taxi ...which he did absent mindedly because the taxi stopped to refill it's NGV Tank and he found the surrounding area beautiful enough to try take a pictures of it. I suppose Alor Gajah NGV Refill stations have their own hidden allure to Expats!
Anyways, I took the opportunity to drive up to Bukit Cina Hill and walked all the way up to survey this town of mine and get some fresh morning air while i was at it. IT was cool and worth the while. The place is immense and the landscaping quite surreal in the mornings.
After that, it was off to the local Tosai & Coffee joint in Bukit Beruang before hitting the stack for some zzZZZ, again.
By 11.00 am though, it was back at work, this time to visit the lawyers and meeting the client's representatives there for some instructions on how to proceed with Legal action against the other party troubling my clients.
At around 1pm, we broke for Lunch.
Thankfully, someone suggested mutton dalcha for lunch and we agreed to repose over to Kaveri's in Jalan Tukang Besi, near Jonkers walk for a banana leave lunch.
Elkay phoned at this time, and invited me to lunch with her,but after some consideration, she was asked to join our group for Lunch instead.
Luch was excellent as the portions were quite generous, the service good, and the ambience typical indian rest. The prices were reasonable also, as the 4 of us with drinks only came toRM 28+. Good meal. Highly recommended.
With most items of business discussed and disposed off, we agreed to part and i was off to the house for a rest and maybe some massage, later in the evening as tomorrow will be full of meetings and travelling.

Wednesday morning, i was up by 6.15am to get ready to meet some clients near Pringgit Jaya, as by 7am we were supposed to leave Melaka for Kuala Lumpur. Left my car at the client's office with some trepidation as the Merc was only recently waxed and cleaned and the dust and soot of that area was bound to coat her by the time i get back. but, no choice lah >(.
The trip up was uneventful and fast. The three of us were in KL by 9.30am ,even though we left only at 7.45am from Pringgit Jaya in Melaka. We managed to find our way to Bangsar, jalan Telawi 3 for the 11.00am appointment in good time, so decided to have breakfast there , while waiting for the appointed time to meet.
The selected shop was a spanish food outlet serving Bacon Sausages, bread, mashed eggs and Fried Bacon for RM 25.00+ a person and so, all 3 of us had the same Breakfast promotion. Coincidentally for us, Elvin (the guy we were meeting in KL) was also having his breakfast there!
So, it was a conducive meal with our aims for the day spread out and our contact in KL agreeable to our requests and needs.
By 11.50am, we were done and the next appointment was in salak south at 2.30pm... so we decided to wait it out in Bangsar Shopping Center. They have this nice corner restaurant there , by the ground floor of Telawi 3, overlooking the street and we sat at the open air patio, my clients and I,with our Drafts and Ales watching the world go past us.(as the breakfast was quite substantial, we didn't order any food).
The drinks were a little over priced (RM 19.00++ for a glass of Guinness Draft) but the ambience more than compensated for that.
Soon , all good things had to pass and we moved on to SS.
There, the developers managers we met were quite open to discuss our problems and we believed were rather open to my clients predicaments and happily we finished with all our intentions agreeable to both parties.
Whew! it has been a long and succesfull day, and we were looking forward to home and hearth.
Banerji's driving brought us home in record time of 55 minutes from KL Tol. And we stopped at King's Hotel in Lebuh Ayer Keroh to sample their MEE KARI promotion (RM 2.99).

This coffee house recently won the National Merit award for their business and is quite an atrractive place to relax in.
The Meal was excellent with just the right amount of santan and thick curry. Recommended.
We finished off by about 7 pm and luckily the place where the car was parked (Pringgit Jaya) did not cause us any worries. Reached home a good quarter past 8 and checked the calendar for tomorrow's itinerary. Good Lord! Tomorrow's gonna be another one of those days, as i've got a 11.00am MTA meeting, a 1.30pm Council Lunch at Ole Sayang Restaurant, and a 4.00pm meeting with MMC's Francis.
And in the late evenings, a dinner invite from Mahkota Medical Rest at 7.30pm accompanying Sazali and Hj. Moidu.
Goodness! (To Be Continued)
